STEAM STERILIZATION INDICATOR TAPE
The steam indicator ink will react positively when subjected to heat and moisture in the
steam autoclave. After sterilization, strong, dark lines appear on the backing of the tape.
The usual time and temperature combinations are:
Three (3) minutes at 134 ℃ (273.2 ℉)
Fifteen (15) minutes at 121 ℃ (249.8 ℉).
STERILIZATION INDICATOR AMPULES
Customers in several states have contacted us to tell us that their State Lab Auditors will no longer accept “Sterility Indicating Tape” for validating sterilization cycles, and that they must now have “Spore strips” or “Ampules”. The tape indicates temperature and time, but does not actually indicate a “kill”. We have the products you need! Check out our B. Stearothermophilus sterilization indicator ampules PS-510, PS-550, and PS-650.
