Description: Standard Methods Agar is formulated according to the specifications described by the APHA for use in performing the standard plate count of bacteria in dairy products. It is also equivalent to Plate Count Agar (Tryptone Glucose Yeast Agar) formulation listed in “Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater,” 16th ed., AOAC, and USP5.
